Being a vegetarian in a city like New York is akin to being a kid in a candy story. The city is affluent in vegan and vegetarian restaurants and food options. My favorite vegan restaurant find in the city that never sleeps was the swanky modern comfort food eatery “Modern Love,” in Brooklyn.
My friend and Cristina and I found the joint, after an urban hike looking for street art. What caught our eye, way the giant building mural that read “Modern Love.”
Inside, Modern Love was everything I expected from a hip Williamsburg dinner. The food was my everything.
I had the tempeh stuffed avocado starter, and the Jerk Yuba with curry and coconut rice, and the chocolate coconut pie (OMG, sooo good…OMG so stuffed!!)
If you find your self in NYC, I fully support your decision to head to Brooklyn and indulge in a little Modern Love.
